Product Updates

All year, we’ve been working hard to bring you even simpler, smarter, and truly stress-free inventory management—and wow, have we come a long way!

First up, Inventory Ally now integrates seamlessly with the most popular PIMS, including Covetrus Pulse, Impromed and Avimark, ezyVet, Shepherd, Digitail, Vetspire, Provet Cloud, and Cornerstone. These integrations connect transactional sales data and order histories directly to the platform, unlocking an unprecedented level of inventory accuracy. With real-time insights, intelligent order recommendations, and more accurate low stock notifications, you can now achieve the perfect balance between keeping shelves stocked and avoiding costly overstocking.

Inventory Ally Supplier integrations

We’ve also been focused on building strong supplier partnerships to make inventory management even more seamless. Inventory Ally is now integrated with leading suppliers like Vetcove, MWI, Covetrus, Promovet, and AVP. By bringing supplier data directly into the workflow, we’ve eliminated manual steps and significantly reduced the time spent on inventory management—freeing up hours each week.

We’ve rolled out a brand new dashboard, providing a comprehensive view of inventory in one place. This new design and functionality deliver real-time analytics, intuitive visuals, and actionable insights, offering a deeper understanding of what drives COGS and operational efficiency. With enhanced tracking of key metrics, you can anticipate trends and make informed decisions at a glance.

Adding to this, our new custom unit of measure hierarchy helps standardize and simplify even the most complex ordering systems. We’ve also introduced automated room assignments, ensuring inventory is always where it’s needed most, streamlining workflows, and saving valuable time for busy veterinary teams. And, with automation improvements for account setup, getting started with Inventory Ally is easier than ever!

Finally, we’ve teamed up with the leading GPOs—TVC, PSI, and VerticalVet—to bring even more cost-saving opportunities to independent hospitals nationwide. With access to better pricing, practices can keep more of their hard-earned revenue and reinvest it where it belongs—back into their teams and growth.

While we’re thrilled about everything we’ve accomplished this year, 2025 is shaping up to be even more exciting! We’re working on some new features, including margin analysis, shrink reporting, spending insights, inventory velocity, and AAHA Chart of Accounts assignments. Plus, with PIMS cost/price writeback, you’ll have even more precision and control at your fingertips.

And here’s the big one: a mobile app is on the way, so you can manage your inventory anytime, anywhere. To make it even more convenient, the app will feature our new Want List, allowing you to effortlessly track and manage everything you need—from medications to paper towels—all in one place. We can’t wait to share what’s next!

Success Stories

We’ve been thrilled to see how our clients are benefiting from these updates, with some truly inspiring results.

At East Poplarville Veterinary Clinic, switching to Inventory Ally cut time spent on inventory tasks in half, turning a once-stressful process into a smooth, predictable system.

Over at Todd County Animal Clinic, Dr. Laster and his team optimized their ordering and eliminated waste, bringing COGS down from 43% to 31.9% in less than a month—saving an impressive $363,000 annually. This financial boost allowed the clinic to reinvest in their team and confidently plan for a second location.

At Summit Veterinary Referral Center, Inventory Ally helped reduce inventory on hand by $100,000 in just three months, giving the hospital greater control over costs and freeing up valuable resources.

Meanwhile, EverVet is piloting Inventory Ally across its first group of hospitals, and the results are already turning heads. By automating inventory processes and creating predictability, their teams can focus more on medicine while leadership uses solid data to negotiate better supplier deals.

Inventory Ally Todd County

One hospital now spends just 30-45 minutes a week managing inventory—no stockouts, no stress. Or as Jaclin Madarang, Director of Commercial Operations, puts it: “It’s my dream for every hospital.”

Seeing these success stories is a rewarding reminder of why we do what we do. Whether it’s a rural mixed animal practice, a large ER/Specialty facility, or a corporate veterinary group, we’re proud to support their teams as they achieve incredible milestones.

None of this growth would be possible without the amazing team behind Inventory Ally. Best Media Features

We continued to share our expertise far and wide this year through interviews, articles, and podcasts. In Today’s Veterinary Business, we explained why relying on your PIMS for inventory management falls short. In dvm360, we shared tips to avoid overstocking headaches. The Fountain Report featured insights on how predictable inventory management frees up capital for growth and compared slashing COGS to wielding a sledgehammer (yes, you read that right!). We also offered practical solutions in Veterinary Advantage and chatted about common inventory pitfalls on the Veterinary Financial Podcast, how mastering inventory can improve your balance sheet on the Smarter Vet Financial Podcast, and how to take a proactive approach on the Veterinary Innovation Podcast

Finally, we published our first thought leadership interview with Jaclin Madarang, Director of Commercial Operations at EverVet, where she shared her insights on tackling inventory challenges in corporate veterinary groups, the connection between inventory efficiency and employee turnover, and how the right tools are key to both financial success and team satisfaction.

2025, Here We Come!

“Inventory isn’t just a line on the balance sheet. Sometimes, inventory is the reason a veterinarian feels burned out because they’re out of medications to provide care. Sometimes, it’s a parent missing dinner with their kids. Sometimes, it’s a hardworking practice owner struggling to make ends meet under the weight of high expenses. Providing tools that support the health of the entire practice—both its finances and the people who make it run—is incredibly fulfilling. The greatest reward is hearing an inventory manager say they got to go home on time. Or a practice owner share that they saved enough to plan for a second location. Or seeing someone light up because they get to excel at what they love. We’re proud of the difference we’re making and look forward to helping even more practices thrive in the year ahead.”

Emmitt Nantz, Inventory Ally Co-Founder

As we close out 2024, we want to take a moment to thank our clients, our team, our partners, and the incredible support we’ve received from the veterinary industry. Inventory Ally was born from our own experiences with the challenges of inventory management, and it’s been amazing to see how our solution is solving those same pain points for others. Here’s to building on this momentum and making 2025 even better—cheers to another year of progress, innovation, and partnership!
